Workshop in Bibliodrama: Can we find ways to overcome obstacles in our relationship with God? From August 12 to 16, 2025; Höör, Sweden

This workshop took place within the annual European conference of Bibliodrama which is hosted by different countries every time. The focus of the workshop was the Bible text found in Genesis 32:22-31 and the leaders were Lotta Dahmberg and Lotta Geisler (who stepped in last minute for Ditty Dokter who became ill). We were 13 participants in the workshop, coming from different nations and being of different ages. Many of us have been already serving as leaders of Bibliodrama in different contexts. Other have like me been solely participants. This is the democracy and the beauty of Bibliodrama: that we are all welcome on our own terms and with our own personal processes to share. Whatever we share, that can mutually encourage and enrich other participants. It is in a way a form of collective therapy, with the leader co-ordinating the number of individual processes into one, while also respecting the personal boundaries and needs of every participant.  READ MORE
Workshop ‘Like a Bridge: about blessing and pain’ co-facilitated by an experienced locally based Christian
practitioner and a young Swedish facilitator of Turkish origin, who offers us a Muslim perspective.

How did a Jewish woman from Liverpool get involved with European Bibliodrama? In 2011, I was invited to run
a short workshop from a Jewish perspective at the European Bibliodrama Congress in London. I stayed for the
entire 4 days and have been a Bibliodrama enthusiast ever since!
...
There are five groups, each co-facilitated and offering different approaches to exploration of the text. I have
chosen ‘Like a Bridge: about blessing and pain’ co-facilitated by an experienced locally based Christian
practitioner and a young Swedish facilitator of Turkish origin, who offers us a Muslim perspective. Fifteen of us
begin the process of trust, of getting to know eachother, through action and movement activities. Our Genesis
text is accompanied by some verses from the Quran.
